The upcoming Heilongjiang Green Food Industry Expo in October 2021 will usher in a magnificent turn and a new leap. On June 28, 2021, the Heilongjiang Green Food Industry Expo changed its name to China (Heilongjiang) International Green Food Industry Expo with the approval by the leading group of the National Cleanup and Standardization Ceremony Seminar Forum Activities. And this marks that the Heilongjiang Green Food Industry Expo has been upgraded from a local exhibition to a national-level exhibition, and has entered the world from China.

Review of Heilongjiang Green Food Industry Expo

The predecessor of the Heilongjiang Green Food Industry Expo was the three successful Heilongjiang Province Green Food Fair and Sales Week. In August 2013, it was decided at eighth executive conference of the Heilongjiang Provincial People's Government the Heilongjiang Green Food Industry Expo was to be convened in Harbin from September 23 to 27, 2013 by the Heilongjiang Provincial People's Government. Since then, the Green Food Exhibition and Sales Week has been upgraded to the Heilongjiang Green Food Industry Expo, from the exhibition organized by the department to the exhibition organized by the provincial government. It is clearly pointed out in the "Heilongjiang Provincial Green Food Industry Development Program" issued by the Heilongjiang Provincial People's Government in November 2013 that the green food industry is the industry with the best growth and the greatest development potential among the "ten key industries" in our province. Heilongjiang Green Food Industry Expo acts as an important platform to promote the development of the province's green food industry, focusing on demonstrating the advantages and development potential of the province's food industry. The first Heilongjiang Green Food Industry Expo has a total exhibition area of 37,000 square meters, more than 700 exhibitors, more than 2,000 buyers and 50,000 visitors having participated in the great event.

Starting from 2014, Heilongjiang Green Food Industry Expo has successively merged exhibition resources such as "Heilongjiang Golden Autumn Food Trade Cooperation Fair", "Harbin World Agricultural Expo", "China Heilongjiang North Wilderness International Agricultural Machinery Expo" and other exhibition resources into one for the purpose of fully displaying Heilongjiang Province's developmental advantages and potential of green organic food and driving the upgrading of the green food industry, adding high-tech content, enhancing market competitiveness. This will enable the Heilongjiang Province green food brand to resonate throughout the country and to the world.

Heilongjiang Green Food Industry Expo has been successfully renamed and upgraded

The application for the rename and upgrade of the Heilongjiang Green Food Industry Expo in 2019 was officially launched. Under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, and with the active cooperation of relevant departments that are directly under the provincial authorities, the application for name change of the 2021 Heilongjiang Green Food Industry Expo was approved by the state, and the name was officially changed to China (Heilongjiang) International Green Food Industry Expo. The People's Government of Heilongjiang Province and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade are responsible for co-hosting the event.  After 8 years of development, the Heilongjiang Green Food Industry Expo has not only explored a road to professional and market-oriented exhibitions, but also embarked on a road to the promotion of the development of Heilongjiang and the country's green food and agricultural and sideline product processing industries.

China (Heilongjiang) International Green Food Industry Expo has a brighter future

From the Heilongjiang Province Green Food Fair and Sales Week to the Heilongjiang Green Food Industry Expo, then to the China (Heilongjiang) International Green Food Industry Expo, two historic leaps have been achieved, ranging from small to large scales. An exposition fair participated manly by enterprises within Heilongjiang Province has gradually evolved to an international professional exposition that attracts the participation of all parts of the country and even the world. It has brought together the advantageous resources of the green food industry and has issued Heilongjiang's green voice to the country and the world.

With this renaming and upgrading, China (Heilongjiang) International Green Food Industry Expo will be deeply integrated into the national agriculture and green food industry development strategy. In accordance with the spirit of the Ninth Plenary Session of the 12th provincial Party committee, China (Heilongjiang) International Green Food Industry Expo will realize the overall deployment of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government to build the intensive processing industry of green food and agricultural and sideline products into the first pillar industry of our province and accelerate the construction of a strong agricultural province ,and guide the innovative elements of domestic and international green food industry to form a cluster in Heilongjiang province, promote the all-round development of green food industry, and drive the coordinated development of economic, ecological and social benefits in the Province.
