On the morning of November 15th, the first China (Heilongjiang) International Green Food and National Soybean Industry Expo, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the People's Government of Heilongjiang Province, opened in Harbin. Xu Qin, Secretary of the Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of CPC and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, declared the opening of the expo. H.E. LIANG Huiling, Deputy Secretary of the Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of CPC, Governor of the People’s Government of Heilongjiang Province delivered her welcome speech.

On behalf of the Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee and Government, H.E. LIANG Huiling extended her sincere welcome to the arrival of the attending guests and expressed heartfelt gratitude to individuals from all walks of life who have long cared for and supported the development of Heilongjiang. She stated that hosting this expo is a concrete action of deeply implementing the important spirit of the significant speeches and directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping, a pragmatic move to support the construction of a strong agricultural nation, a crucial platform for showcasing advantageous products, and a cooperative platform for driving the revitalization and development of the soybean industry. Presently, Heilongjiang is steadfastly focusing on the development of modernized large-scale agriculture, its main direction of work. With a clear orientation towards green agriculture, the province is making intensive efforts to further advance agricultural revitalization, taking the lead in building a robust agricultural province and striving to create an even more secure, reliable, solid, and safe "granary". Heilongjiang boasts excellent growing environments for green food and soybeans, stable raw material supplies, a solid industrial foundation, enormous development potential, and broad cooperation prospects.

H.E. LIANG Huiling stated that this expo, themed by "Green Development, shared Future", is hosting over 1,000 companies from 15 countries and regions, organizing more than 60 activities. It aims to build an international trade and investment cooperation platform for the entire green food industry chain, from fields to dining tables, and to establish a professional platform for national soybean production, supply, and marketing. Heilongjiang Province expects to deepen exchanges and collaborations with all guests, to share new opportunities, to unleash new advantages, and to nurture new dynamics; by focusing on such key areas as seed industry revitalization, black soil preservation, and deep processing of green food, it also expects to integrate innovative resources, to accelerate value transformation for jointly ushering in a new chapter for high-quality development of green food and soybean industries.

During the opening ceremony, Tang Renjian, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, delivered a video speech, and Chen Jian'an, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade also gave his speech. Erkin Tuniyaz,  Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Province of Guest of Honour, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Chairman of the Government, delivered a speech. Chen Zuxin, Deputy Director of the Council of the All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives, Gu Shu, Chairman of Agricultural Bank of China, Chu Yufeng, President of China Food and Packaging Machinery Industry Association, Long Baozheng, Vice President of JD Group, Guo Kongfeng, Chairman of Wilmar  International Group, and Zhang Xiqiang, Executive Vice President of Nestle Group, Chairman and CEO of Greater China Region, Xie Yi, Senior Vice Chairman of CP Group, General Manager and CEO of CP Investment Co., Ltd also delivered speeches on-site or via video.
